Meet The Dentists

Dr. Todd A. Sala, D.M.D.

Dr. Todd was born and raised in Reno and is a fourth generation Nevadan.  Dr. Todd received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada Reno.  He followed his family’s legacy and attended the University of Louisville, a school that graduated his brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Dr. Todd prides himself on making all his patients feel comfortable while in his dental chair.  He loves people and welcomes the opportunity to have small children to older adults in his practice.  Dr. Todd continues to stay up to date on the latest trends in dentistry and has recently been admitted as a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry.  He stays up to date by completing over the required continuing education requirements, in an effort to provide Nevadans with the most comfortable dental practice and techniques possible.  Dr. Todd is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Nevada Dental Association, Northern Nevada Dental Society and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He participates in the Northern Nevada Dental Health Program which offers dental care to children in need.  He educates local elementary students on dental health and has been featured on news channel 8’s medical minutes for the current trends in dentistry. Dr. Todd is proud to be a Nevadan and happily makes his home here with his two children Luke and Gwen and his wife Tara.  In his spare time he enjoys the Nevada outdoors, photography and spending time with his family.  

Dr. Jason L. Sala, D.M.D.

Dr. Jason was born and raised in Reno and is a 4th generation Nevadan.  Dr. Jason joined his father’s practice in 2003 and welcomed his brother in 2004.  He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Reno and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Louisville.  Dr. Jason focuses on implant, cosmetic and family dentistry in a warm and friendly environment. He is passionate about staying on the cutting edge of dentistry and has proven this by becoming a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry.  Less than one percent of dentists in the United States have received this distinction.  Through this commitment Dr. Jason has learned the latest techniques in implants, cosmetics, and lasers.

Not only is Dr. Jason interested in his education, but enjoys educating others as well.  He has been featured several times on News Channel 8 Health Watch and in the Reno Gazette Journal, and has taught oral health to elementary students at numerous local schools.  Dr. Jason is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Nevada Dental Association, the Northern Nevada Dental Society, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. 

In his free time Dr Jason loves being outside with his wife Lynsey and their 3 children Addison, Sawyer, and Colin.  He enjoys mountain biking, skiing, hiking, golfing, snowshoeing, and travel.  Dr Jason is excited to share his passion for the Sierra Nevada Mountains with his family and can be found most weekends exploring their beauty.  Their favorite vacation place is the Florida Keys and the enjoyment of both the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico.

Dr. Michael L. Sala, D.M.D.

Third generation Nevadan, Dr. Mike started his dental practice in Reno in 1974.  From the beginning, the mission for the practice was “extraordinary caring people --- staff, patients, and community.”  That virtue continues to this day as the torch passed to his sons, Doctors Jason and Todd and is reflected in the mission statement of Sala Family Dentistry, “Caring people, Caring for people.”

Dr. Mike is now fully retired and exhibits the same zest for life’s adventures as he did in his career along with his wife and number one supporter, Mary Anne.  The senior Salas’ are enjoying world travel, hiking the majestic sierras, keeping fit with yoga, and being passionate participants in the lives of their children and five grandchildren.
