Sala Family Dentistry we are proud to have the Waterlase. What is the
Waterlase? It is brand new technology that allows our trained dentists
to use a laser to do many of the traditional dental procedures without
the need of anesthesia or the use of the drill!
The Waterlase uses HYDROKINETIC technology to perform a variety of dental procedures, including cavity preparation, caries removal, tooth etching and a wide range of soft tissue (gum) procedures. The Waterlase laser system is a revolutionary new dental device that uses laser-energized water to cut teeth, bone and soft tissue. BIOLASE received FDA clearance to market the Waterlase system for use on hard tissue (teeth) on October 9, 1998, and we have been using this technology since 2001.

a laser beam that energizes a highly precise spray of air and water. |

Water droplets absorb
the laser energy and become laser-energized water particles that,
when directed at the tooth, rapidly remove enamel, dentin and decay/caries.
This allows us to treat you routinely without the shot! This new
technology can be used to treat cold sores, and keep them from causing
pain and the unsightful scabs that can appear on the lips. We are
also able to remove gum tissue easily to reduce those "gummy
