Fourth Annual Smiles For FREEdom Event

On Friday August 17, 2018 Sala Family Dentistry is proud to be hosting their Fourth Annual Smiles For FREEdom Event!

Smiles For FREEdom is an opportunity to allow dental professionals to come together and provide free dental services for an entire day to veterans, and members or our armed services. This program was started by Kandice Simpkins a registered dental hygienist at Sala Family Dentistry and supported through the doctors and staff at Sala Family Dentistry in Reno, Nevada. National interest is growing in this organization with 9 events held in 8 different states in 2017.

Dental care is a growing need in our country. It is important to Sala Family Dentistry to give back to the community and to help others get out of pain and into happier and healthier smiles. Sala Family Dentistry has been serving the Reno/Sparks community since 1974. Dr. Michael Sala founded the practice and later passed it on to his two sons. Drs. Jason and Todd Sala are fourth generation Nevadans and believe in giving back to the community! Kandice Simpkins RDH has been a registered dental hygienist working with Sala Family Dentistry since 2007 and has organized yearly Free Dental Day Events for the practice since 2009. Smiles For FREEdom is her favorite!

Since 2008 Sala Family Dentistry has donated over $1,100,000.00 back to the community!!

Since 2015 Smiles for FREEdom has served veterans and/or military service members and provided over $400,000.00 in free dental services! Participants for these events are veterans or local military service members. Services provided will be appointment based only and participants will not need to stand in line through the day. All services provided by Sala Family Dentistry and coordinating partners, such as Oral Surgeon Scott Boyden, on this day will be FREE! All work and care provided by volunteers on this day are FREE. All work will be provided at the highest standards of quality and care that we would provide on any given day to our wonderful patients. Free dental services on this day will include a combination of diagnostic services, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other possible dental health services based upon individual needs.

On Friday August 17, 2018 the Fourth Annual Smiles For FREEdom Event will be hosted at Sala Family Dentistry on 4875 Summit Ridge Drive Reno, NV. A flag raising ceremony will begin near 7:15am and is open to the public. Dental services this day are by appointment only and will begin at approximately 8am and end at approximately 3pm.
