Smiles for Freedom Recap 2018

This last Friday was my very favorite day at Sala Family Dentistry! On Friday August 17, 2018 we held our Fourth Annual Smiles For FREEdom Event! This is a day where our office staff come together and volunteer for an entire day to provide free dental services to our local veterans and military service members. Your favorite dental professionals here at Sala Family Dentistry volunteer their time, service and talents to care for some truly amazing local heroes. We are very fortunate to have Oral Surgeon Dr. Scott Boyden join us as well and volunteer his time and services for this day.

Smiles For FREEdom is an organization that started right here in Reno, NV, by a dental hygienist right here at Sala Family Dentistry, and through the help of a wonderful group of supportive doctors and staff. We are excited to see the program grow and have watched 14 other Smiles For FREEdom events across 12 different states serve even more veterans! Since 2015 this program has helped provide over $550,000 in free dental care services to veterans! With even more events to come, we are very proud to say that Sala Family Dentistry is the home of this wonderful program!

Our event this last Friday helped care for 40 veterans and provided $100,700 in free dental care services. There were smiles and happy tears all day long. Being able to share our time and talents with these individuals is truly an honor. We love being able to help provide the chance for someone to smile again, to get things happier, healthier, and often out of pain. We are so proud to give back to those who served for us. Thank you to every man and women who has served or is currently serving our country. We are so grateful.
